Current Employee – been working at United Technologies
Pros – Storng leadership team to lead the company.
Cons – Less focus is placed on employees as a financial-driven company. They treat you as a number and a smaller number of employees means a good job of management and more bonuses.
Advice to Senior Management – Since economy is turning around and UTC is making money with a high stock price. Pay you employees fairly, since a regular emplyee will not get a year-end bonus.

Former Employee – worked at United Technologies
Pros – You work with some of the best engineers in the world. Pay and benefits are excellent. The company has a long and proud history and the employees are proud to be associated with the company.
Cons – Senior management is a good old boys club. Limited opportunities for anyone who is not is the club. They will acknowledge excellance but will not promote.
Advice to Senior Management – There are several dedicated employees that deserve a promotion (in pay grade only) that stay only because they love the company. Don't take advantage of them, promote them.

Former Employee – worked at United Technologies
Pros – Great experience for co-ops, most of the co-workers are extremely helpful and want the co-ops to succeed - they understand that co-ops come in with little to no knowledge and are more than willing to help
Cons – They have no real program in place to hire co-ops. They train them well but then when hiring time comes they string the co-ops along saying they want to hire them but they are not sure what positions are available for full time until other companies have snatched them up
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
