Advice to Senior Management
Communication within company needs to improve. Focus on the experienced/talented employees and try to retain them. Hold your leaders accountable especially as it relates to employee retention. Have 360 degree feedback and appraisal, reduce politics in the teams. Senior management needs to be more sensitive to the needs of their employees. Telecommuting would be an added bonus.
Pros
The people are great and the opportunities are abundant. Everyone is measured and rewarded based upon individual and Corporate results. The 'team' enviorment is phenenomenal. It is an honor to be part of this team.

Pros
Unitrends is a fast paced startup and is an ideal place for one who can thrive in a nimble environment. I have been with the company for a few years now and I am proud to work with incredibly talented folks here. People are driven, super-charged to deliver . Like any startup, results are all that matter. Technology is at the heart of this startup and I am proud to be part of a team that delivers some cutting edge products. I am proud of what we do, how we do it and where we are going.
And of course, I love the free snack room here. I am nibbling on goodies all day.
Cons
As some other reviews mentioned, the work can be stressful, but hey, its a start-up.
Training of new employees can be improved.
Pros
Like the focus on personal responsibility.
Focus on results rather than politics is nice.
Technology.
Like the ability to make mistakes and learn from them without finger-pointing.
Passion for customer satisfaction.

Cons
Work can be stressful.
Fast growth has strained the company.
Need better on-board and on-going training.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure that you stay focused on long-term as well as short-term.
Pros
Money. Unitrends does pay well, if you have the right position. If you are in some way involved with adding more customers, you will be compensated well.
Cons
The internal departments are constantly playing the blame game against each other. Any time a manager or director comes to your office or cube, it's never for something good. You measured on multiple "metrics" of your performance, and everyone's scores are displayed on monitors around the office. When the manager does come to your office it's not because you aren't providing good customer service, it's because the little box next to your name on the monitor isn't green.
Advice to Senior Management
Measure your employees on the amount of time logged on cases and customer satisfaction... That's it! Hire more employees, and establish a standardized training procedure for new hires. Don't squeeze the life out of your employees, and they won't leave you.
