The Nickel & Dime Show in contract security

Manager (Current Employee)
San Francisco, CA

I have been working at Universal Protection Service full-time for less than a year

ProsYou might end up on a good site with a wonderful client.

ConsYou won't get much support from the management or support staff of Universal. There are far to few people to manage the business. Most have a good heart but they are just trying to keep their heads above water!

Advice to Senior ManagementStaff your business to serve your clients and stop thinking that technology can substitute for good human intelligence! Short-term planning and quick fixes only lead to lost contracts!

Cookie cutter company that only protect their interest.

Security Officer (Current Employee)
Miami, FL

I have been working at Universal Protection Service part-time for less than a year

ProsPay was competitive, at first (interview) was promising, then waited for a position to open(about a month). I was able to reach management in the company and most of the crew were competent and friendly.

ConsThe supervisor above not responsible enough to keep proper records of events at the site or time records as required by law. The crew kept covering up mistakes by their superior, which kept them on. Originally I was bounce around before given a home, that didn't last long. I was promised a new home but nothing. Track your hours it's up to your supervisor to keep track and turn them in. If they're wrong they won't correct them. Short changing you.

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to your guards if they have complaints. They complain for a reason. And follow through with honest and sincere efforts. Don't short change your guards that represent you, aren't they your bread and butter.
