    Pros

The job allowed me to study properly at night and also have a diversified communication stand with foreign students.

    Cons

Well, as a warden staff, you could be awake all night due to various disturbances from students.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend a more severe fine scales for student who do not abide by the residential rules.

    Pros

Smaller polytechnic university that facilitates collaboration and interaction between departments. Excellent for research based occupation, especially for doctoral and post-doctoral researchers.

    Cons

Lot of bureaucracy and lack of centralized administration.

    Pros

    - Real sense of pride among staff and students. Good sporting history.
    - Strong President who is highly motivated and effective.
    - Great campus.
    - Solid reputation.

    Cons

    - Media plan is weak, insufficient input from students.
    - Posts remain unfilled forever, no clear timeline.
    - Slow to implement new programmes and adapt to changing demands in the industry.

    Advice to Management

Force Tyndall to brand itself more strongly as UCC and diversify research areas if possible.
    Restructure budgets at the top.
Reform Teaching and Learning as advised as a matter of priority.
Lobby hard with a single voice for an increase in the education budget.

I have been working at University College Cork

    Pros

University College Cork has great people and great clubs for students and Staff alike. I would definitely recommend this as a place to work

    Cons

There are probably too many layers of general admin in the college. Makes knowing where to go to get things done outside your department quite difficult

    Advice to Management

The admin side of the college should be modernized and streamlined to facilitate quicker decision making. I feel this would free up a lot of peoples time and reduce stress levels when looking to do things outside your departmental remit.
