    Pros

I worked at University of Calgary full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great to make a difference in the lives of young people. Progressive, flexible. family-friendly environment. Many great academics and professionals to work with and learn from.

    Cons

Large, top heavy, bureaucratic and slow to change. As in many post-secondary institutions, services are not what they could be as a result of significant funding cuts over the years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The current president has the institution on the right track. Post-secondary education in Canada clearly needs a new business model if government funding is inconsistent and cannot be relied upon.
