    Pros

Plenty of opportunity for overtime, very nice work environment with friendly staff and supervisors.

    Cons

Not a lot of room for career growth, there were only two supervisory positions to promote to at the time I was working.

    Pros

Enjoyed working with the knowledgeable and social justice-minded researchers here. Work-life balance is excellent; everyone understands that people have families and that to complete public policy research, it's also necessary to be engaged in the world.

    Cons

My compensation was somewhat low considering my education level. But then again the job helped me get a much better paying job.

    Advice to Management

Keep all of the Institute's program areas strong.

    Pros

You are free to decide to work on in your research. You can attend a lot of talks and meet different people in the campus. The weather is nice here.

    Cons

The nearby house is expensive, comparing to what you can earn as a research specialist. You need to climb up the hill to enter the campus from the bart station.

    Advice to Management

The HR is quite slow in your application of visa. They should work faster. I will suggest you to start to apply for the visa as soon as possible if you are a foreigner.
