Difficult to keep up with values

Resident Advisor (Current Employee)
Cincinnati, OH

I have been working at University of Cincinnati part-time for more than a year

ProsYou meet many people and develop positive, long-lasting connections. The residents I've mentored are bright, intelligent students with amazing goals.

ConsThere is an unattainable ideal that is held within the department that forces employees to think a certain way. Much of the department is condescending and extremely clique-y. It has been difficult to manage professional relationships with particular members.

Advice to Senior ManagementUnderstand where resident advisors are coming from - we try hard every day but have our private lives to deal with, too.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Teaching Assistant

Teaching Assistant (Current Employee)
Cincinnati, OH

I have been working at University of Cincinnati full-time for less than a year

ProsHigher than average pay for a teaching assistant. If the low living cost in Cincinnati is factored in, you get a pretty good deal.

ConsSometimes, it is possible that the undergraduate clashes and your own courses are clashing at the same time. It is, however, possible to cut out a deal.
