    Pros

Professionalism, Mutual Respect, Positive Learning atmosphere, leadership in Human Resources is positive

    Cons

Some of the employees are struggling financially and need a higher wage to support their family.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think the counseling services could be helpful to staff and faculty - through individual counseling, family counseling, and particularly departmental in-service workshops. Otherwise, good job!

I worked at University of Colorado full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Great co workers, great staff morale, great PI's and researchers. time off policies, flexible work hours. I loved learning more and more about medical testing, behavior testing and all the fantastic things that these people do. I loved how the care techs and vet techs cared more about the health and safety of all of the animals more then the peoples research. If a mouse was super sick or something we did everything possible to help the mouse or whatever animal.

    Cons

It was hard to euthanize mice.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the Awesome work Michelle!

    Pros

First of all, campus is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture of the buildings among with the mountains in the background provide an ineradicable scenery. Second and more importantly, you get a great education.

    Cons

Engineering school can get really boring since the vast majority of the students are guys. I remember taking classes where there were 90 male and only 10 female students in the class.

I worked at University of Colorado full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Boulder, CO is an absolutely amazing town for the outdoor oriented mountain lover. University of Colorado, Boulder is a very solid academic university and treats their employees well. The campus is beautiful.

    Cons

I worked as a post-doc and the only downside is that post-doc positions, by nature, have to end sometime. I have nothing bad to say about CU-Boulder, whatsoever.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to figure out a research scientist employment structure that can support academic professionals between the post-doc and professor level.
