Old school and old values, not supportive of science fields

I worked at University of Findlay full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Newer facilities and supportive faculty development opportunities

    Cons

Poorly managed financially, tenure and promotion standards continuously change, and female faculty rights are minimal at best (a colleague was denied FMLA after having a baby, not even sure how this was legal). Science fields continually prey on new female grads for entry level faculty positions because they can be overworked and underpaid and treated without respect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Congrats on your first female president, too bad that is the only advancement in female faculty rights at that institution. Old school deans and tenured faculty members make it very uncomfortable for young female faculty members in non-art or education fields.
