Pros
My job was to teach undergraduate students...
- very interesting
- opportunity to understand the thought process of many different students

- Had to complete graduate studies and so had to balance time.
- Graduate assistant-ship was revoked a few years back for my position.

Low entry barrier
Relatively relax environment
Easy access to library
One can work on some long term projects without short due days
Cons
Lack of frequent and stimulating communication between co-workers.
Lack of interactions with industry.
Many important journals are not available online.
Advice to Senior Management
Offer flexible working hours.
Encourage more interaction with outside.
Subscribe to more online journals.
Don't waste money on building decoration, brochure printing and distribution.

University is great - department is not.

Low pay, low morale, incompetent supervisors, no promotion process, poor equipment, micromanagement.

You feel proud to be a Coog! Knowledge is shared freely and you have the ability to grow as a developer.

They need to figure out who should and should not work there. Just because they have a PHD in their salutation does not mean they know how to be upper management.

You should learn to flatten the organization a little more. Maybe checking up on the lower-level employees and learning from them.

Wonderful team player, challenges in learning new ways to develop a webpage utilizing different programs.

More communication needed not only to full time and staff workers, but also student workers.

Very flexible scheduling ,decent technology if you know the right people, great benefits, awesome gym with literally anything you want, very pretty campus

no annual raises, promotion is difficult, parking is impossible and cost a check or two, traffic is horrible as it hold right under 40000 students alone, easy to get lost

In your own school. You get to work with professors. You also might get a job through them. Overall OK.
Cons
Commute can be pain. parking can be painful. Low salary close to 1000 a month. you will loose other opportunities in corporate world.
Advice to Senior Management
Make the TA job better. It really sucks. Specially with GATF cut off, i don't see why anyone in their right mind would work for you.
