I worked at University of Michigan part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Decent pay for student work, great relationships between coworkers, good benefits for full time workers, customers are generally easy to work with, and scheduling was amenable to classes or a second job.

    Cons

There is very little chance that you can stay in these positions and next to no growth.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider employee retention, and using the work study positions as a way to train people even when they aren't in class, and not just as busy work to help students pay their bills.
