    Pros

working while going to school, you know, not bad. It's a good school, and a good place to live.

    Cons

lots of paperwork. Hard to navigate finding all the forms, if your nice to the admins they help a lot.

    Advice to Management

With such a diverse crowd of employees and students I don't know what they could do. I would make teaching and management courses mandatory for profs.

    Pros

I worked as a graduate research assistant for one of the law professors while attending law school. The work was very interesting - assisting case law research work for a professor who was writing a book on a legal topic. The professor was helpful in providing directions and feedback.

    Cons

There is none. The work was very interesting, the schedule very flexible and the professor provided timely feedback and a lot of encouragement.

    Advice to Management

This is a great way to financially assisting law students while providing them interesting work and expanding their experience in the legal profession.

    Cons

Short contracts given, need to apply every semester unless maybe you know the professor very well.

    Pros

very good opportunity to build your resume for applying to graduate school. very good pay compared to other part-time jobs that normally hire students.

    Cons

you need to know the professor very well before he/she would hire you for a project, because they usually just hire their graduate students and usually there is not very many positions for undergraduate students.

    Advice to Management

the work culture really depends on your supervisor. some professors are very friendly, and you will become very good friends with them.

I worked at University of Ottawa

    Pros

location, accessibility are two important elements to the favor of the university as a workplace. there are so many facilities on campus to the benefit of the staff and students

    Cons

you need to be bilingual for most jobs, it would be have been much better if all posted jobs would be open to external candidates, not just internal ones

    Advice to Management

people need to be able to access more facilities on their time off, that should be extended too
