I have been working at University of Phoenix part-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Very flexible schedule for asynchronous classroom, allowing instructors to work a full time job at another company while facilitating classes outside of normal business hours. Compensated training for senior part time faculty via an annual cash bonus.

    Cons

The training and course materials can be unengaging but this is not a significant criticism. Each new version of the online classroom and course materials has been an improvement over the previous version.

    Pros

The training was not dreadful! You actually learn about the university and everything it offers. You receive tuition reimbursement.

    Cons

Little opportunities to grow in the company. Calling students who never wanted to be students in the first place. haha

The university has great benefits. The university goes above and beyond to assist students and faculty. You work with the best teams and really learn from everyone.

    Cons

I don't have anything bad to say about the university.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I wish you would not have decided to close down so many campuses, especially the Cincinnati Campus.

I have been working at University of Phoenix

    Pros

I like the 5 or 6 week format depending on undergraduate or graduate courses. The students for the most part want to be there and show up to class and participate

    Cons

The recent change of the LMS and upgrades to the portal site sometimes make it harder to find what you are looking for

    Pros

I love working for this organization! I have a flexible work schedule and the pay is fair.

    Cons

Can't be offline more than a day. This can be a problem if "life" happens. Sometimes scheduled classes get cancelled, but this has occurred less frequently over the past year.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Everyone is professional and experienced. Management is educated and is no slouch.

I worked at University of Phoenix full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

The salary is comparable to the cost of living. The availablty to increase by salary was attainable and the training my experience there feel that I was prepared to handle anything.

    Cons

The role of a Financial Aid advisor can be very stressful so the day to day duties can be quite daunting. I really didnt have any issues with this company.
