Good place to work depending on which department you're applying for.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

I worked at University of Texas at Austin full-time

ProsStable, good benefits, decent money for a state job.

ConsEight to five. Not very flexible. No work at home option. Bureaucracy. Takes a while to get things done. Depending on the department you're applying for, some of the administration has been around way too long and are stuck in their ways.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdopt a more innovative workplace.

Great Place to Work

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at University of Texas at Austin full-time for more than 8 years

ProsTons of benefits, including professional development, free medical, and good retirement. It's a huge organization so there is likely an office on campus with a culture that is a good fit. It's great on a resume too, as UT is very well-respected.

ConsIt's a large government entity, so it is not always easy to get things done. There can be politics and the pay is not always as high as in the private sector, but often other benefits make up for that.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
