  1. Student worker in recycling

I have been working at University of Toledo part-time

    Pros

I have good co-workers and a very laid back work environment. I enjoy lots of freedom during work and flexible work hours as well.

    Cons

The equipment that we use is very poor. The building where the recycling is held is rundown and old. Other than the equipment, the job is pretty good.

    Advice to Management

Good work! A new boss is taking over the recycling program, so change is taking place. Other than that, management does a nice job.

I worked at University of Toledo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lots of support from colleagues and supervisors

    Cons

Expectation that students should be treated as customers (this is known to be a growing problem in higher education in general, not just at UT)

    Advice to Management

Create an institutional culture in which employees are treated as professionals. Pay people better too.
