    Pros

Depending on the type of research you do, you might be in a lab with better potential to grow and support from peers.

    Cons

Management seems to focus on benefiting the company at the cost of the employees well being. Very rigid structure management follows with no wiggle room for exceptions, blindly so.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen more to employees requests and provide better support.

I have been working at University of Washington

    Pros

    Engineering Advancement:
Pleasant people, quiet office, flexible hours, location on campus.

won't pay all the bills, but it's nice for an undergrad looking for some extra money.

    Cons

Sometimes not enough work to be done, can be frustrating to try to occupy time with something. Most of the work is mind-numbingly boring too. Generic office clerical stuff.

I worked at University of Washington full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, beautiful campus, nice work-life balance

    Cons

Parking is expensive, people work at UW to retire therefore there is not a great deal of opportunities for upward mobility. It really feels like you are a government worker there. It is hard to get things done at your job because people have a very bureaucratic mentality. Faculty are the gods, administrative staff gets no respect.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Foster innovation and opportunities for employees who want to grow in their careers.
