    Pros

the people are very laid back and down to earth. If applying for a job, they do them in group interviews and ask basic questions (i.e how would you deal with theft, what do you consider good customer service). its a series of 3 interviews before you get hired. Benefits of working there are also really great.

    Cons

there aren't really any cons to Urban outfitters. I guess the interview questions are very repetitive but thats about it. Be sure to be one of the first people to speak out throughout the interview because others usually somewhat repeat your answer.

    Advice to Management

There isn't much advice I have for management. Possibly try to have one on one interviews with the people applying in order to gain a sense of one's individual personality. However, i do understand that group interviews allow managers to see how people work in group settings.

    Pros

Great people to work with, positive atmosphere, and always a task to be done so the day goes by fast.

    Cons

You have to start out as part time. It is still retail so there are some employees who don't care as much about their job.

    Advice to Management

I honestly think the management team has a great flow and communication with eachother and the staff.

    Cons

I can't say I have many cons about this place. Management is good I guess I would say communication through corporate could be skittle better

    Pros

Discounts, chill managers, easy, and great music. Lots of people watching. Laid back dress code and awesome coworkers

    Cons

Folding clothes all day can be very boring. No flexibility on taking more hours when on part time.

    Advice to Management

I think management was great and very helpful and a pleasure to work with. Very accommodating to requests for time off

    Pros

Fast paced atmosphere with a strong family feeling vibe. Ownership and accountability given to the store team with a continual creative ever-evolving environment,

    Cons

Head office functions limited so hard to progress once you are within Senior Management. Training is poor - you need to be self-motivated to drive your own progression.

    Advice to Management

Own your store and team! Without this philosophy you will find urban outfitters a challenge.

    Pros

As a member of staff, you can purchase the stock for a 40% discount, which is quite good as the clothing at UO is quite expensive on a student budget. The overall 'vibe' is nice and the job itself isn't that stressful. The work colleagues are a great bunch of people.

    Cons

Their clothing is expensive, which makes sales difficult sometimes when there are no promotions in store. Have to stay after work for a lot longer after a late shift, but that's just retail for you.

    Advice to Management

I can't think of anything constructive. Perhaps make more promotions in store to attract more clients, as the clothing tends to be more expensive from their rival (Topshop).
