Former Employee – worked at V&V Supremo Foods as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Parking, pay is decent, some people are genuine and personable, product is okay.
Cons – 1) Bad reputation in industry
2) Management lacks creativity, innovation and technology!!
3) Facilities are old and in desperate need of repair
I hope new hires are smart enough to do their online research and read these reviews! Luckily, I did so I was not at all surprised. This company cannot afford to hire employees so they lure talent by offering temp/contract positions, pay you for your time (weeks or months) take what they can and then simply let you go.
Advice to Senior Management – Be honest! Just tell people from the start you can only offer a temp position instead of misleading as this only reflects poorly on you, discredits you and gets you bad reviews. Remember, the internet (social media) doesn't forget! Buena suerte!

Former Employee – worked at V&V Supremo Foods full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Parking, 20% of staff is nice the other 80% are worthless.
Cons – Senior Management cannot transition into a corporate cullture or structure due to the lack of guidance from the owner. The President of the this company is embarassment to the latino business owners. He barks his orders and puts fear into employees and expects a great turn in work productivity. He treats his assistants has they were his maid, can never focus on the task at hand and extremely disrespectful to his staff. He does not give back to his to community which is said because his community is what he build his business and profits on.
If you get a call from this company do not walk simply run away. Empty promises, lies and mistreatment.

Former Employee – worked at V&V Supremo Foods
Pros – parking, interesting product, some employees trying to make positive changes
Cons – It is no accident that every review here is negative. With the current GM it is impossible for talent inside the company to make any positive impact. The GM is exceptionally unqualified and not willing to admit how little he knows. HR is wasting qualified candidates time by pretending that V&V will provide employees with the atmosphere to succeed. HR does not understand the skill set of current employees.
Any talk of "change" is just that, talk. New talent is trying to make changes, but it is an uphill battle. The most unprofessional organization I have ever had the displeasure of encountering.
Advice to Senior Management – HR should not be in every meeting. GM should admit that you are unqualified and lack the knowledge to take this company into the future.

Current Employee – been working at V&V Supremo Foods
Pros – Cheese and meat are pretty good products, you get to learn some spanish, you get to learn how to work through difficult people, you get to laugh a lot at some of the behaviors because they are so extreme. You get to meet a lot of different people because there's a lot of change in positions. Once you work at VV, you will be happy working in any other place, because it will be an improvement.
Cons – The ownership is very disjointed. One of the ownership sides is very passive and allows the second ownership side to make all the real decisions. This would be ok but the side that is making all the decisions isn't good at business and isn't in the office enough to understand how to run the business. Senior people in the organization dismiss good employees simply because employees haven't agreed with terrible decisions. Current financial leadership leading the company into ruin because they don't know what they are doing.
Advice to Senior Management – I agree with the previous poster. The ownership family needs to get out and let others do the work. They should sell the company while it is still worth anything. And the ownership should take reading and writing lessons so that official company documents and emails stop going out with spelling errors.

Former Employee – worked at V&V Supremo Foods
Pros – Good product line
Great benefits
Meet FEW genuine people
Cons – Extremely high turnover rate.
Upper management is useless.
Training is a joke.
You only succeed if you kiss up to the right people. It's who you know, not what you do.
The moral in this company is extremely low thanks to the inexperienced and unprofessional managers and owners.
Advice to Senior Management – This company could be great if the family stays OUT and let's EXPERIENCED professionals run it. If they truly cared about where it's heading, they should simply start by getting to know what type of employees they have as supervisors and managers. All the great employees have left and what remains are narcissistic rude individuals.

Current Employee – been working at V&V Supremo Foods
Pros – Parking
Great benefits
Good product line
Meet a limited amount of genuine people that make work worthwhile.
Cons – Unethical and arrogant upper management.
Training is a joke.
Employees in lower positions are micromanaged and "easily replaceable".
You're only an asset to the company not by your hard work and dedication, but by rubbing elbows with the right individuals.
Many bring their "personal" problems into the work environment.
Managers and supervisors do a fantastic job at bringing down the morale.
Some owners completely lack common sense.
Extremely high turnover rate.
Advice to Senior Management – It's disheartening to know that this company could have so much potential, but is quickly losing it's best employees and credibility thanks to those running the place. This issues have been brought up to upper management and nothing is being done.
