    Pros

Local chennai crowd.lot of people from my local community area: mambalam, tambaram which is good because this indicates that management wants to hire local manpower and restrict inflow of non chennai crowd in the company ,something which i admire from the bottom of my heart. This creates a very friendly and homely environment for local people like us because we always have our colleagues to support us when we are not able to give excellent results. So cheers to senior management for this noble mindset.

    Cons

Extremely low pay packages. The Human Resource expect freshers to work for free for the company , a thinking at the top which was told to me by the HR head himself. After hours of negotiations the company agreed to pay me ten thousand rupees per month.
Lot of favouritism is shown to children of heads of departments.Sometimes the management hires children of people who are heading their marketing and engineering departments and don't hold them accountable for any solid results. These wards of senior managers travel on free tours to Manila and Europe financed by the company before they leave for their MBA etc. This doesn't bring any value and only sends discouraging signals to local talent from chennai.

    Advice to Management

Please stop hiring wards of managers who are heading your engineering dept. This sends a signal of nepotism creeping in the company and brings down the morale of bright engineers like us from chennai whom you hire after a very competitive selection process.

    Pros

Chennai based water treatment company which gives good opportunities if someone is from local areas. So good option to start earning if one doesn't have a job in Chennai. I did mechanical engineering from top college in Chennai and worked for 12 years in Chennai with a pump manufacturer and the human resources executives were very encouraging and nice to hire me. Lot of Chennai crowd so I felt at home.

    Cons

    very poor salaries
Poor middle management and some very bad managers in municipal group

    Advice to Management

management should not hire managers from competitors at high salaries. This doesn't send good message to their old employees who have spent 15-20 years faithfully with the company.

    Pros

I would say bit flexible on site. you can do as per your interest.

    Cons

Random posting of GETs on site
    Horrible site conditions.
    Job not much challenging
    Same task given to ET/GET/DET
Be prepared to get less salary after your training period

    Advice to Management

1-GETs profile should be defined before sending to the site.
    2-Site conditions can be improved
3-After the site training when the GET joins office, he get less pay as increment is less than the site allowance .

    Pros

I started my career as a GET in this company. More emphasis is given on training the freshers however flaws can be avoided. One has to be more receptive to identify areas of growth and concentrate on learning. Not much of challenges in every department. Multi National and hence opportunities to go abroad provided good performance.

    Cons

Par salary with the market and the job. You cant expect much here as your job also will be of that level only. However other benefits through training are equally competent. Overall, a good place to work provided you like the domain of the company and your work.

    Advice to Management

Training allocation needs to be redefined. One has to be put in their own field first rather than expecting them to be an all-rounder right from the beginning of their career.
