Some of the office politics were uncomfortable

I worked at VWR International as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

Worked a 6 month contract at one of their sites. Kind and knowledgeable supervisor. Positive work environment. Reasonable expectations and workload. Okay pay for work done.

    Cons

A bit disorganized but other than that pretty good. Just need to convey what you want more intelligently.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You treat your employees great, excellent job, however a little organization would lead to less confusion and probably increased productivity.

    Pros

OK compensation, but pay plan is often manipulated by management.

    Cons

    Management is subversive at best.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get better business development managers. The ones in place are a joke and usually make the reps look bad more than anything. Could also do a better job of enforcing contract compliance with the customers VWR manages to keep.

I have been working at VWR International full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Lately there are no pros about working as a warehouse associate at VWR in Bridgeport, NJ.

    Cons

The management doesn't know what they are doing from the top bosses down to the pion warehouse supervisors. They are concerned with the almighy dollar & they are looking to fire you for any reason. They want quality but they stress quantity & if you don't make your "number" they fire you! They are looking to have people work there for $11.00 an hour. I have been there a long time & believe me it went downhill in the last 5 years!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get off you butts & learn how to manage without LM system!
