Cons

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Valeant full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They treated us respectful, professional, were reasonable with their requests and time frames to get work accomplished. They actually listened to the sales force and tried to accomodate!

    Cons

The only negative was very slim product line, the drug I was selling for Hep C came out poorly in new clinical trial, efficacy only 10 %, company sold product off , all reps let go due to nothing else to sell.

    Advice to Management

Great company, get some more products, call me to work there again!

    Pros

Valeant was a great company to work for. The senior management staff was really dedicated to growing their brands, and they were equally as interested in what their sales staff had to say.

    Cons

The only con I can really think of was a lack of communication at times. Sometimes, information didn't really make it's way down to the sales reps as swiftly as it should. Competitive knowledge was also not at abundant.

    Advice to Management

When I left, they were really moving in a great direction. The only advice I could give would be to keep doing what they are doing.

HR is very structured so performance is rewarded quite well. There are also various brands/portfolios that you can work on that touch almost every pharmacy and natural food chain in Canada.

    Cons

too corporate. not my cup of tea

    Advice to Management

work on building a better workplace culture

I worked at Valeant as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Excellent people and training; team members willing to help out and support new employees; training is very thorough and complete.

    Cons

Having to travel 50 minutes one way from Winnipeg to Steinbach, especially in winter, can make for a very long trip some days.

    Advice to Management

Excellent leadership who are willing to listen to employees in each department and consider suggestions from same. Great compensation packages that start upon the first day of employment.

I worked at Valeant full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Valeant is open to new ideas (which isn't always a given), getting department to move to a new model or market to launch or create a new product.. Professional & Victorious leaving a legacy behind for others to follow.

    Cons

Very fast changes in the management. Needs a mechanism to keep the best deserving and performing employees. Unfortunately, which is not happening because of the senior management.

    Advice to Management

Keep the people who have been pillar in strengthening the company and its core value

I worked at Valeant full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Autonomy is respected where deemed necessary.

    Cons

Upper hierarchy takes all credit success of all middle management decisions that benefit stakeholders.

    Advice to Management

New CEO and Chairman, Michael Pierson is a money grubber, setting up the company by acquiring 25 companies in two years, in order to increase share value so he can sell out rich.
