I worked at Valley Baptist Health System (Texas) (More than a year)

    Pros

    There's nothing good to mention.

    Cons

Cardiac dept. was run like a puppy mill. They sent you home when there was no patient and called you back to work when 1 patient showed up in task list.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees as you would want to be treated. There's no respect or consideration for who work in VBMC. It's just sad.

I have been working at Valley Baptist Health System (Texas) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I like the flexibility I am offered in what I will be working on from month to month. Most of the patients are friendly, as are most of my coworkers. People are willing to take the time to explain things and help someone new.

    Cons

It can be frustrating to give orders which don't get followed through on, or get followed through on very late. There have been multiple changes of owning company, and with each one changes come. Benefits packages have gotten smaller and more expensive with each passing year.

    Advice to Management

Look into each situation from all points of view before making a decision. Don't assume that because one person complains they are right on and a new policy needs to be implemented. First go talk to the people the complaints are about, and then make your decisions.
