I have been working at Valley Hospital full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Pay is fair, low stress.

    Cons

Luckily I work nights, so I don't have to deal with a lot of disgruntled techs.

    Horrible!!

I worked at Valley Hospital as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

    I can't think of any.

    Cons

As a RN, the nurse to patient ratios are HORRIBLE. 1:7 and I was even forced to 1:8 one night. There were a couple of good charge nurses, but for the most part you had to fend for yourself! Avoid this place at all costs!!!

I have been working at Valley Hospital as an intern (more than an year)

    Pros

The internship program at Valley Hospital is excellent. The training provided during each rotation could not be any more complete in my opinion. The cases are very diverse and the patient load is adequate to allow developing comfort with managing a wide array of diseases. Didactics are top notch as well. The program also offers the ability to work closely with interns from other specialties, including family medicine, internal medicine, and neurology. Valley also offers a traditional rotating internship. The salary scale is also very competitive compared to other programs.

    Cons

If I had to pick one thing that could be considered a negative, I would reluctantly say the educational stipend should be given to interns, especially those who will continue on at Valley Hospital for their residency.
