I worked at Valley View Casino full-time for more than a year
Pros – Great Benefits and pay. A lot of potential for growth. Very nice atmosphere and the people you work with are easy going and friendly
Cons – Exposed to second hand smoke. There is a non-smoking section but you are not always assigned to the same area of work.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work, I know if I had the opportunity I would definitely return to work there in a heart beat.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

I worked at Valley View Casino part-time for more than a year
Pros – Nice management and property, very good food for the employees and free, nice co-workers, it's a teaching casino where supervisors help you become better at your job
Cons – low pay for tipped employees due to clientele, part time employees often get "forced out" early, more inconvenient location than surrounding casinos, takes a long time to become full time.
Advice to Senior Management – take better care of part time employees if you want to keep them by limiting force outs, making transition to full time a quicker process, and certainly not moving people from full to part time when avoidable.

Pros – Free lunch.
Open 24 hours a day, so many shift available.
Company rewards for 1, 3, 5, 10 years of service.
Referral program to make extra $$$
Cons – Smoke-filled environment (like all casinos)
Opening 24 hours a day, so you may have to work grave.
Can be stressful.
Advice to Senior Management – It would be nice to try to improve the air filtration system so that the air was a little bit cleaner.

I worked at Valley View Casino full-time for more than a year
Pros – They know how to hire great people. Most of the people you run into are friendly, hard working, easy to get along with. They have good benefits and the employees have their own dining room, kitchen staff and chef. Plus you are fed for free.
Cons – There is no giving notice. If you decide to quit, and tell them, they want you gone immediately. Management says there are there to listen to concerns and make things better but often it seemed they were more interested in not making a fuss and catering to favorites.
Advice to Senior Management – Hire people who know what they are doing and stop the nepotism.
