    Pros

Autonomy. But not enough people willing to engage in projects, so you have the autonomy to do nothing.

    Cons

Poor leadership (very common opinion). High turn over. Hard to attract outside hires. City and campus are small minded. Leaders do not have proper training, leaders do not resolve conflict (they just let things "go"), leaders are not leaders and should not have been appointed to positions of leadership. Low pay compared to sister institutions. Very unhealthy work environment. Racist, sexist, ageist, attitudes; recent state law discriminates against LGTB community.

    Advice to Management

Train your leaders how to lead. Don't promote from within (especially senior admin positions). Get rid of unhealthy workers who spread their poison and negativity.

    Pros

The work environment itself was quite comfortable and easy going, and my supervisors and coworkers were very helpful and understanding. The rest of the staff was diverse and fun to work with, ages 18-60 and all of them were respectful and hard working.

    Cons

The only complaint I have is the number of hours given to myself and others, I would have liked to be given the opportunity to work more.

    Pros

Gained valuable experience while retaining the convenient hours and location on campus, worked personally with bosses as opposed to dealing with a chain of information.

    Cons

There is no reward for individual effort, all bonuses and raises are institutional so that my experience, time working, training are not important in terms of what I get paid. Only the specific type of job matters.
