Current Employee – been working at Vangent full-time for more than a year
Pros – You will always get your 40 hours, unless you get laid off of course.
Cons – Supervisors talk about you behind your back, it is not a job for people with children as you get attendance points for everything, and by no way possible do you want to be a temorary employee as they work you like crazy but you get no benefits.
Advice to Senior Management – Re-think the people you have as your managers as they do everything they ask customer service reps not to do. Also, get rid of the attendance points and i'd imagine you might get people to actually stay with your company instead of spending the money to re-train new people. Some people have children, and getting points for a daycare forgetting to tell you that they ran out of formula for your child is not the employees fault nor should they get a point for it. Things happen that can be out of your control but at this job it doesn't matter, you are always wrong regardless. And there is also no room for advancement at all.

Current Employee – been working at Vangent full-time
Pros – the pay and no drug test
Cons – the supervisors and management suck its all about who you know and how much butt you are willing to kiss. They will write you up for no reason, but they always find one. Policies change depending on who you talk to. It's always I will get back to you on that. Shoot, does anyone know whats going on. Its worth the money but not the bs and its definately not a career!
Advice to Senior Management – Learn what you are talking about before you present it! Man up and start looking for the good ones not the ones that will keep stuff on the low and do all your work for you.

Former Employee – worked at Vangent full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Continued education to become better as a CSR
Cons – Couldn't go to the bathroom off scheduled breaks without a medical note, which was unpaid.
Inconsistent management styles in which most would coach a representative but some would write the representative up making it an infraction leading up to consequences including termination.
Lockers far away from where the representatives sit, making it very cumbersome to get your purse or any personal items AND still get back in 15 mninutes (break) or 30 minutes(lunch)

Former Employee – worked at Vangent full-time for more than 8 years
Pros – None, looking to cut expense to prepare for sale due to Private equity ownership
Cons – bad management, didn't undertstand market, poor sales leadership more interested in making excuses. GM more interested in his positioning in the parent company then understanding how to run his division to create growth.
Advice to Senior Management – None, they succeeded in selling out to public company. Private Equity company winner....Employees oh well.

Current Employee – been working at Vangent
Pros – Good basic hourly wage, good training.
Cons – They never hire permanent staff--you will be a "permanent" temp at best which means that when upper level management chooses to route hiring to other call ceneters in distant cities you will be S.O.L..

Former Employee – worked at Vangent
Pros – The salary was very good for the area. The trainers were very knowledgeable. You were in training for three weeks.
Cons – The company has layoffs a lot which makes for a very unstable environment. It is definitely who you know in the operation as opposed to your performance.
