A good company to work for.

    Management (Current Employee) Dallas, TX

ProsVanguard is a growing company searching to find it's place among the big established companies supporting the healthcare industry. You can help make a difference in this way as your contributions are noted quickly.

ConsCompensation and salary are below the industry standards for employees and management. It has an open door to the headquarters for employees to voice grievances which often leads chaotic situations.

Advice to Senior ManagementWork on competitive pay scale and reward experience.

    – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

May 2014 - Average at best

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Bellaire, TX

ProsAlways work, no lay offs. Overtime available. Good environment at clients location. the idea is there but not being pursued by on location management. Loss of Contracts will be the cost.

ConsTurn over is really bad due to pay standards, but more so PRIMARILY due to management. For example when an employee never calls in sick, is always at their scheduled time, works overtime when asked, then STOP changing their schedule. Allow them to have a life they can plan on. Treat them right and they will work when requested or required. When you don't then you suffer turn over.

Advice to Senior ManagementTalk positively to good employees and "hear" what they have to say. If you are an effective manager act on their issues they honestly bring to you. Use the cameras to see who is not doing their job, AND WHO IS, and then take action. Changing to another director will not accomplish anything if he just starts changing things (schedules) without first observing.

    ProsGood Benefits... that is all!

ConsTraining was horrible, no respect from the upper management. They expect you to know everything before you get there. They want you to work 80 hour weeks.

Advice to Senior ManagementCreate some training programs for employees and respect them.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Company overview

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) DFW, TX

ProsWell intentioned company with employees and customers interest at heart. Employees have a direct access to call corporate with any concerns they may have regarding work issues if desired. This is not always good but it is an option if so desired.

    ConsWages are below comparable industries

Advice to Senior ManagementIncrease wages to attract and keep best talent

Vanguard has been a tremendous company to work for, they put their client's needs first.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsThey will support their people, empower them and grow them from within. Especially for entry level employees they can give you a long term future.

ConsSometimes their growth hinders them being able to be everywhere they need to be, possible victims of their own success.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure they are methodical in their approach to growth, and promote their leaders to team-build.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
