    Pros

    Great resume experience
Great pay, no limit on what you can earn (if you're a hard worker)
A lot of networking opportunities to develop professional career
Team environment, built lasting relationships with my coworkers
Opportunities for advancement in the company

    Cons

This job requires lots of work, it is not a clock-in, clock-out and get paid job. There is potential to make a lot of money but it takes dedication through adversity.
You use your own vehicle to drive to appointments

    Advice to Management

Be more realistic about the work that it takes to succeed. It is a great company and has helped me tremendously to grow as a person and help me get experience for my resume.

    Pros

Amazing experience. Worked there during college. This company isn't for everyone but got me job offers after college

    Cons

It forces you to grow and some people aren't prepared for that and aren't succesful

    Pros

Vector has fantastic training and gives you great experience in the professional world. It also pays well and rewards you for both success and effort. They're also sell high quality products, making it easy to work for them.

    Cons

Vector can be broad in a lot of things and training. They don't train you all at once, making it difficult when they expect you to have a full job.

    Advice to Management

Be more thorough when explaining the job and it's requirements. Also explain what is expected of you when it's expected of you.

    Pros

This is a great place to gain experience not only for college students but for anyone! You get to hone skills in business management, time management, communication, networking and much more. Great team always willing to help and support you and keep you positive!

    Cons

Working on a referral only basis is very difficult especially if you are a shy person and if no one answers their phone or calls back.

    Advice to Management

Just keep with the positivity and support!

    Pros

It's fun hanging out with family and friends. At first I was worried about bothering people, but the truth is, we're selling excellent knives to people we love. I wouldn't be working with Cutco if I didn't like the product.

    Cons

    Hard metal chairs during orientation...
We didn't really go through the blue book enough, I was a bit lost during my first 2 demo's but by the 3rd one I knew it pretty well.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the great support, You guys have been awesome so far. I just pray you guys don't change face.

    No cons with this position

    Pros

You receive a lot of information within just a few days to help you in just about any situation possible and management is just a call away if you need help at any time.

    Cons

You are expected to start right away and it is a little complicating scheduling appointments with clients.

    Advice to Management

I noticed that the company is very competitive so reps are expected to be very competitive right away and that can be overwhelming to new reps. It should be a bigger priority with helping reps understand the business rather than feeling like they have to compete with each other.

    Pros

You get to chose your own hours, you can win free items, you get $16 for each demo, and a great job for college students who need money.

    Cons

You are a self- contractor (1099), the team leader doesn't always pick up the phone, and some smaller sets don't have certain knives that the customer likes

    Advice to Management

Have a hunting knive gift set, a KA-BAR gift set, have a 2nd in command under a team leader so whwn the leader isn't available, the co-captain can answer questions and what not. There should be ways for the customer to take out certain knives of a set and put others in or just leave them out.

    Pros

You work around and set up YOUR schedule and you usually make as much as you work hard. They teach you everything you NEED.

    Cons

You need a fairly good economical vehicle and know how to talk to people you've just met. You also need to be able to know how to sell.

    Advice to Management

Well constructed and very helpful. Good role models and know wha they're talking about. Love how they push us, yet guide us.

    Pros

This job has grown me in all areas of my life.

I always did well in school. After graduating high school, I was accepted to a bunch of great colleges including Harvard, and I took this job as a way to make some money over the summer. I thought thatI did not realize what I was getting myself into.

This job was a test of my physical, mental, and emotional strength, and it grew me in each one of these areas. I made 7k in 2 months working part time (~4hrs per day). Even more important than the money, however, this job has opened up countless doors for me in both my professional and personal lives.

    Summary: Great pay, Better experience.

    Cons

While the job is simple, it is NOT EASY. This job does require strong work ethic. If you do not have a strong work ethic, you must be willing to allow your manager to motivate you, that is what he is there for.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the positivity.
