    Pros

Great work environment with good people to work with. The company offers a wide range of benefits. A matching 401k as well as paid time off, and tuition reimbursement..

    Cons

Work can get challenging, there is constant changes but in any corporation that thrives where is it not any changes.

    Advice to Management

Keep supporting your employees, they work very hard and i think management does a great job with making sure everyone is properly trained.

    Pros

The people there are fantastic, with the exception of a few of course. But all in all it was a fun place to work.

    Cons

They don't like when you move around the company. i.e. apply for positions within the company.

    Advice to Management

Be a little more lenient with your employees that want to experience different positions within the company, especially if they work hard and are never late.

    Pros

This organization has the strongest sense of pride of any company I know. The commitment to employees and customers carries all the way through the organization, straight to the CEO. I made a conscious choice to join this team; a choice that has proven to be the most valuable career decision of my life.

    Cons

Vector is built on an amazing history and a wonderful sense of pride. The foundation is very strong. Right now, there is a bit of uneasiness as the organization creates a vision for the future. Change is hard. Some are struggling with the transition from a small, local security provider to a large, industry leading provider of automation, technology and customer service.

    Advice to Management

Stay the course. Remain committed to your customers and your employees

    Pros

People were nice but somewhat distant. Not surprising given the rapid turnover.

    Cons

Make calls door to door all day with very miniscule or no interest in speaking with you. You simple cannot make a living there as you start off with a draw for 3 months that goes down each month until it is straight commission.

    Advice to Management

Doesn't the massive turnover clue you in to anything?

    Pros

Good salary and they worked around my schedule. I enjoyed working for them and the people were great.

    Cons

The benefits lacked and you had to pay all of your own gas which at times was very hard. Also, paid vacation days were slim to none.

    Advice to Management

Please work better with employees and listen to what they want.

    Pros

    The commission structure is good

    Cons

You work for a bunch of "good ole boys". As a female I made the mistake of thinking I could bring them to the 21st century

    Advice to Management

Let some younger people take over and you get out

    Pros

Working for VECTOR SECURITY was an awesome experience for me. I actually saved a few people by dispatching EMT and FIRE DEPT on two separate occasions. Very uplifting for me to help

    Cons

ON CALL PHONE everyone gets a chance to get that duty ONCE per month. Seemed like my turn was all the time. Very hard to do after working 3 day 12HR shifts in a row. And the day comes for my two days off and one of my coworkers call out. No breaks. And spending the night in inclement weather to help man the phones for those that couldn't make it in and still have to do my shift! Very hard

    Advice to Management

Working twelve hour shifts are indeed hard to do. There should perhaps be some type of incentives to help shifts change properly. No one should EVER have to stay one second longer after completing a 12hour shift!
