Opportunity to learn the pharma ropes in an exciting, dynamic environment

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Chippenham, South West England, England (UK)

ProsLots of opportunity to learn and try new things. Can have an impact on the direction of work programmes.
Mostly, colleagues are a good bunch who will help each other out.

ConsLots of red tape which stifles creativity, hinders work programmes and slows down the decision making process.

Advice to Senior ManagementTry to remove the road blocks, put effort inot implementing an efficient system.

Skills and knowledge of staff not taken advantage of.
Few development opportunities with 'promotions' being largely superficial.

    A stopgap job at best

Pharmaceutical Scientist (Current Employee) Chippenham, South West England, England (UK)

ProsThe workers are a great bunch of people, otherwise it is just a place to earn a living.

ConsConstant demotivation, highly repetitive work. Senior management do not appear to understand that the shareholders are not the people doing the work. Having to listen to the suits amking their announcements in "business speak" rather than using English is exceptionally irrritating too.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employess with the respect they deserve - remember a lot of them are probably smarter than you are. Tokenism such as summer barbecues as seen as a joke by the majority of the staff.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
