A promising company only for engineering background (Jharsuguda Location)

Associate Manager (Current Employee) Jharsuguda (India)

ProsJharsuguda as a complex is filled with opportunities and if you get a chance to work here, dont miss it. great salaries, good people, peaceful isolated place for the ones who wish to stay away from civilization. This company Pays very well

ConsHaphazard work life balance if you are not from nearby cities, job allocation are at random, low promotion opportunities and if you are not an Engineer or do not have a 6 - 8 Years work Ex (Incase of Lateral hiring) Pl do not join, this company has nothing to offer to you

Advice to Senior ManagementReview certain policies, listen to what your people are saying, at times the lowest cost product should not always be selected as somewhere quality matters, work location and area of interest preferances should be considered

    Life changing experience

Mechanical Engineer (Former Employee) Tuticorin (India)

ProsGreat company to learn and apply concepts you learnt in college. The best part is the amount of challenges and opportunities you get to learn more. No matter whats your experience is, They give you big projects if show some character and maturity to handle. Learnt a lot on resource management through handling projects early in my career.

ConsI dint find anything like a negative aspect since I loved my stint in Vedanta resources.

    Challenging

Assistant Engineer (Former Employee) Korba (India)

ProsLot expected as soon as you join. You will learn very fast which is good if you can keep up.
Salary is good considering accommodation is provided.
Came across some very passionate upper management people. More like exceptions though but still inspiring.
    Lots of training provided.

    ConsNo social life.
Locations are generally bad but depends where you are coming from.
Lower management co-workers not very passionate. Some complaining non-stop.
Promotions are hard to come by and you start making real money only after say 5 years which is dumb as the good ones will already leave the company by then.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't throw you GETs into the frying pan right away.
The change of guard should be gradual.
