    Pros

The company has some good ideas and new products, with some driven and hard-working team. They provide with opportunities to grow at disciplinary directions.

    Cons

The major disappointment is lack of peer support and management structure. HR department is not supportive at all.

    Pros

The best thing about working at Velos is the employees. There are some very intelligent, hard working and knowledgeable people.

    Cons

The overall company moral is low due to poor management decisions: tight cash flow, unfair pay distribution, limited growth potential, little to no benefits (raises, health insurance, etc), a few awful hiring decisions, and erratic upper management.

    Advice to Management

The employees are the most important asset the company has but they are driven away by management. New management styles are desperately needed. Outsourcing to unqualified labor in India is not the solution. An investment in a highly qualified team that can build/maintain a good product should have been sought.

    Pros

You can gain experience by wearing multiple hats. The team of new graduates are very friendly and welcoming.

    Cons

Lack of structure. There is no HR department, which means that there is no way for employees to give feedback, or have their personal issues taken care of. Money is a constant issue here as the company is financially unstable. Every six months there is either a salary cut, or you just won't get paid! The company is unable to reimburse their employees in a timely manner, while expecting them to constantly travel. Management often openly expresses their feelings about their customers and employees in a very disrespectful manner.

    Advice to Management

Provide more incentives for the employees. Have a clear plan on expectations and invest in the current team, so that turnover is not so high.

    Pros

Very easy to control the direction of projects, even as a new graduate. Friendly environment for young graduates.

    Cons

Executing on ideas can be tough given the lack of resources available and unrealistic timetables. There are a lot of decisions tied up with senior management who may not have enough time to realistically be involved. That said there is a distinct lack of middle management.
