I worked at Vemma full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Super fun, young culture. Lots of great training materials to help you succeed and move forward. You make your own schedule and can work from wherever!

    Cons

Have to be very self-disciplined and have great time management. You only get paid if you do the work and/or motivate and help your team succeed.

    Advice to Management

Be more focused on the newest peoples success with the company, that way they will want to continue to move along with Vemma.

    Pros

    - Amazing coworkers, people have good attitudes and are very friendly - Great products - Inventive and cutting edge, was in the social space before most companies were - Cool office space; great location - Lots of excitement, something always going on - Great perks, conventions, tickets to games - High energy CEO, Great COO, trustworthy HR

    Cons

    - Can be male dominated - Unorganized, difficult to get projects done; timelines moved frequently - Lots of changes, not always streamlined or understood - Upper management doesn't always agree with each other and causes direction issues - No flexible work schedules or ability to work from home - Better PTO for new hires

    Pros

no one seemed to care what you do or what you deliver. paid decent.

    Cons

the employees dont care about doing a good job, just about sucking up to the owner. people get promoted and put into positions because of who they know, not because they are skilled. if all you care about is money and "being a baller," than this is the right environment for you. heads marketing department is unqualified.

    Advice to Management

dont be wowed by a dog and pony show from your employees. but then again, this place is all about the appearance you put on, and thats how they get people to sign up for their pyramid scheme product, so maybe they are making the right hires.

  9. In general Vemma is a very dynamic high energy organization that hires top performers.

I worked at Vemma full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Profits are shared in the form of end of year bonuses following good revenue years.

    Cons

There is a tendency to add staff a little too quickly when business is booming only to make cuts almost as soon as the latest "High" wears off.

    Advice to Management

Using outside test groups when performing new product marketing surveys would probably provide a more accurate picture of potential consumer acceptance.

  10. In hindsight I would work there again just do it differently.

    Pros

Can make a lot of you're the right person in the right place at the right time

    Cons

its all about recruiting people and training them to recruit people, basically convincing people so spend a ton of money and have them get people to spend a ton of money and so on

    Advice to Management

Make it easier to rank up
