    Fun company with great people

Ambassador (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe people are great and the weekly meetings seem to help keep everything in perspective. It helps to build a sense of community in the company.

ConsI'm not very of their business model. When you charge people and then they don't get what they order for a month, they tend to lose faith in your business.

    Poor experience

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsGood work/life balance and young people

ConsPoor management, no strategic direction for the firm/employees, very disorganised, no career prospects for current employees. Complete disregard for wellbeing/career of employees

Advice to Senior ManagementA focus on the happiness, career prospects of employees would be very helpful. It would dramatically reduce the high turnover of employees

    – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Poorly Run, Loss of direction or focus. Doomed.

    (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsSome very talented, dynamic thinkers in lower level positions. I met some wonderful people who are destined for great things should they be allowed to contribute their strengths and ideas. The attempts at company culture can be fun-- monthly outings, snack room, weekly all-hands meetings.

ConsI have never encountered a management team that had such a disrespectful way of leading their staff. It is clear that the people in power got their due to their personal connections to the French Counterparts and not due to their leadership or actual skills. It is also very clear that the company is struggling with direction and is still trying to figure out how to do the FUNDAMENTALS of their e-commerce business which is frightening.

There have been four CEOs in 2 years that have all been fired by the French because they are forward-thinking, strategic and know the US Market. If you aren't French, you have no chance for growth at this company. The entire Brands Department is new within the past year and there is still turn-over if you aren't completely worshipping the executive team, who are utterly disgraceful leaders.

Compensation is below average and you will work hard for peanuts.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop using the excuse that "we are a start-up". You are in Year 3 and are backed by (2) Three Billion companies, you shouldn't use this catch-all excuse for performing terribly.

Learn how to manage! Be open to new items and improving the core principles of the business. Absolutely be more transparent and reward those who are working hard and not just your friends.

Please put more focus and attention to process, operations and integrating technology into the business. Just because one business solution worked in the French business model doesnt mean it will work here.

The basics of the business in regards to internal process should be the main focus. Determine how to actually perform day to day operations or the company is failed. You are going to continue to lose top talent if you continuously create this toxic environment with needless, tedious work that could be easily automated if you allocate the right resources.

HIRE A TECH TEAM who actually knows what they are doing and can support the daily functions of the other teams.

Smart, talented employees overworked and unsupported

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

Pros- Smart, dedicated, and hard-working co-workers
    - Great friendly work environment that has the "start-up" vibe
    - Transparent organization, for better and worse

Cons- Weak management team creates more problems than it solves
    - Lack of support and misleading hiring promises leads to high employee turnover
    - Employees constantly overworked and expected to go "above and beyond" with little recognition or fair compensation

Advice to Senior Management- Show that you care about the well-being of your employees who work hard by taking some of their suggestions
    - Do something to stem the low morale and employee turnover

    Learning Experience

Digital Factory (Former Employee) New York, NY

    ProsGreat Environment
    Good & Smart people

ConsInexperienced management for the company sector
The company tried too hard to have the start-up environment and the experienced company knowledge which lost focus and leadership on company results

Advice to Senior ManagementBe more hands-on as it is a start up
    Listen to its employees
Do not hire over qualified people
Do not promise growth in career path in one year. If people are saying yes to a job because HR said they can change positions in one year, then this person is not saying yes for the right reason
