I have been working at Vention Medical full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Hands on job where you wear many different hats. There are lots of opportunities to learn and grown but there is limited upward mobility for most people. Culture is very good in my office, with everyone being very focused on getting things done the right way. Big focus on the customer.

    Cons

A big challenge is the work load and balancing so many projects and expectations at once. Some in management understand this balancing act while others do not have much sympathy.

I have been working at Vention Medical full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There is room for advancement, friendly co-workers, comfortable offices. Most of the managers are engineers are very friendly and helpful.

    Cons

Was taken over by a larger company, lots of changes, none for the good. They don't give much training, expect you to know the job before you start, and if you make a mistake, you are loudly repremanded. HR is hard to locate, impossible to talk to. Pay is low, pay increases are non-existent, even when you have a perfect review, as I did.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have to treat employees as people. We will give more if you treat us kinder. It is human nature. Taking away benefits after they have been earned, when profits are sky rocketting does not boost morale. Like many of my co-workers, we have had enough and are sending out our resumes daily.

    Pros

Growing industry. Company has good reputation. Deal with good customers. Work is collaborative, diverse and interesting. You will be given responsibility.

    Cons

    Pros

Quality oriented company growing rapidly with many well respected customers. Privately held company makes decisions and moves on. Overall good company and good people.

    Cons
