    I worked at Ventyx full-time

    Pros

Depending on your manager's mood, you might just be able to work from home one day a week. Good luck!

    Cons

Forget ever being promoted unless you are part of the inner circle. It's very much a "do as I say not as I do" culture.

I have been working at Ventyx full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Knowledgeable co-workers, great clients, interesting work, adequate pay (haven't been around long enough to know about bonuses). Acceptable benefits.

    Cons

Not much in the way of training & a lot of management turnover. Currently have no idea who's steering the ship.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Ventyx has the potential to be an awesome company. The new CEO needs to come in and make the changes necessary to turn things around. You've got a lot of talent at Ventyx, put it to good use. Appreciate your employees - they're what makes a company!

I worked at Ventyx full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Very few, none, perhaps the work-life flexibility.

    Cons

Disorganized, customers hate the company, top heavy with VP's, hundreds and hundreds of layoffs (by a 3rd party company, people are being let go mid-revenue-raising-projects, people being let go by "mistake", no determination of the role of people being let go - just numbers). No training and no direction. Software platforms are overly complex, problematic. No training (except the overly burdensome ABB integrity courses). Ventyx acquired Mincom some years ago and have systematically destroyed a global leader's software to implement their own out of date, functionally challenged software. Morale is soul destroying, all while VP's are paid their 6 figure salaries. The CEO resigned after overseeing the decline, and is now employed elsewhere as a CEO???!!! His replacement resigned after 2 months into the job!! Customers are leaving in droves or actively looking for better options. Products aren't selling, customers are canceling their upgrades and support agreements. There is no where to get help when trying to support customers as everyone has been fired.

I have been working at Ventyx full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    People (what's left of them)

    Cons

Steady decline over the last 6 years
Layoffs almost every year (tis the season)
Management does not know what it is doing
    Unrealistic financial targets
    Bureaucratic
Too many chiefs and not enough indians
Change is always pushed down instead of getting input from the boots on the ground

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Something drastic needs to be done to improve morale

I have been working at Ventyx full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

decent benefits, work from home once a week

    Cons

not stable. New starters can be laid off in a few weeks time.
Layoff just goes on and on from 2013.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The niche market enjoyed in the past is closing up fast. Get rid of so many executives and middle management soaking up most of the profits.

    Pros

The people are great, the work flexibility is very good

    Cons

No direction no training systematic destruction of huge revenue raising products because management doesn't understand them, a horrendously complicated interface to everything, top heavy management who know nothing and don't care, demoralized staff hoping that their number doesn't come up. (200+ layoffs past 2 weeks). Extremely dissatisfied customers who can't get the help they need because there's no workers left (except management).
