    Pros

The initial pay and benefits are really good and you are vested in the company 401k plan from the day you start.

    Cons

The company is on its 4th CEO in 8 years!!! Training program that the company received an award for is a sham as you will rarely get training on what you require. Benefits have changed a bit since the company has gone through a 3-phase lay off of almost 50 employees. The company used to match 401k contributions of half your input up to 8% but have ceased to do so up to now. You cannot easily transition into a front office job; once your are on the production floor that is your destiny and no one will help you change that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Favoritism plays a big role in the satisfaction of your employees. They will work harder if they know they have an opportunity to receive raises and promotions.

I have been working at Veridiam full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Veridiam has been a great place to learn a trade, and be involved in some very interesting projects. Many of which felt very rewarding knowing our products were saving lives, reducing surgery recovery times, etc….

    Cons

Now owned by multiple investment groups, the main goal is month to month revenue. The long haul is no longer in sight or even on the forecast. Many employees are worried about losing employment. With the massive work force reductions over the last year some personal have left for other jobs. Many more are actively looking as well. The moral level is at an all time low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the culture at Veridiam. If our Leads, Supervisors, and Managers are worried about there jobs that stress rubs off everyone. When the shop is thumping out product and everyone is involved things run smoother, faster and cheaper with less mistakes. If a Supervisor is standing around not engaged with the team, the team notices and adjusts work ethics to match.

    Pros

People....that's about it. And to be clear, this does not include management. With the recent layoffs of about 1/2 the work force, not being there any more.

    Cons

Extremely easy question to answer. Upper management. CEO's are a dime a dozen at that place. Who could think each one could get worse than the next. And let's not forget the GM's...they come in and rant and rave how they will change the company for the better, just to get canned or quit....thinking they are on #8 in less than 6 years..

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

This goes to the owners. The guy in charge now, is making it worse for those still left. Listening to someone without ANY contract manufacturing is a mistake. Speak to the people on the floor. Get their honest opinion.

I have been working at Veridiam full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Benefits are ok and pay is not too bad.
    Most people get along well.
Very easy to work as there is no accountability for anything and management is dillusional and disconnected.

    Cons

    Micro managing to the extreme
    Unobtainable "bonus plan"
Managers is charge are clueless about the inter workings of their departments
How on Earth is this a profitable company with more product going in the trash than to customers?
A buddy system promotes unqualified people
The place is old, dirty, and disorganized
People do not care anymore, and don't have to

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start at the top, clean house. Find qualified, experienced leaders. Focus on preventing problems from occurring over and over and over... Improve quality so you don't have to overcompensate with quantity.

    Pros

The people out on the floor are hard workers and have pride in their work. Floor crew are friendly and make you feel welcome.

    Cons

Micro managment in all departments. They cut corners and produce non-conforming products. Highest priority is meeting shipping dealines while quality and integrity of product suffers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Have pride in your product. Follow customer procedure requirements as they are called for, stop cutting corners. Hire competent floor supervisors.

    Pros

Machinist and engineers know and understand their jobs and the roles of others. There is a decent sense of teamwork around the factory.

    Cons

It is evident that management doesn't trust any of it's employee's. Managers "babysit" their employees to the point of restricting job growth potential. Quality is not even an afterthought, when something doesn't meet print it's all about not telling the customer and finding out a way to get by with sending bad product. It's the least ethical company I have ever been a part of. They sold themselves as a company that has world class quality and where there are no ceilings to growth potential. I can't even describe the full array of Cons for this company.

    Pros

Pay is decent and overall my peers are good people.

    Cons

I don't think management has a handle on the situation. There is nothing above average to offer to attract skill and to retain the existing skill.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Sweeten the pot and maybe we can raise the skill level. Maybe figure out a way to motivate the existing employees.
