Pros
When you meet positive co-workers that are truly nice people.
Cons
Negative reinforcement given to employees rather than positive. A fear-based management style in some groups. Not allowing vacation when needed. Walking on eggshells with some managers. Unhealthy work environment that could be abusive.
Advice to Senior Management
A positive working environment where management shows that they care about their employees in the short term and long term is much more productive than any monetary award.

Pros
Significant role in delivering trust, safety, and security to the internet. Good pay package, especially the stock.
Cons
Overly cautious on the legal side. Hard to balance the two business units
Advice to Senior Management
Have the courage to make the tough personnel decisions, especially at the top
Pros
Positive interaction with senior management and autonomy to set priorities and goals. The environment is hard-working but there is an acceptable work-life balance.
Cons
A drawback is some uncertainty regarding the longer term vision and development of the company. With the sale of the security business, the growth strategy is not clear.
Advice to Senior Management
Advice for management would include improved communication to help build employee confidence for the future. It would also involve better accountability against goals, targets, and efforts.
Pros
- Strong "family" aspect
- Above average benefits
- Good environment to learn and grow
- Mostly competitive salaries
- Opportunities to advance within the company
Cons
- Identity crisis
- Constant reorganization
- Unpredictable, seemingly spontaneous changes
- Lack of communication from management
- Do not seek out best talent
Advice to Senior Management
My advice would be to stop focusing so much on making money, and instead focus on bringing in the absolute best talent and innovators, and provide more incentive for those who work the best and hardest, rather than those who have been there the longest.
Pros
Exposed to lots of technology in a very driven environment
Able to make a difference
Cons
Unfortunately you need to go to happy hour and play a lot of politics to be successful at this company. Management is more interested in taking care of their friends then concentrating at the task at hand.
Advice to Senior Management
Actions speak louder then words. Integrity used to be one of the founding principals of VeriSign. Sadly that is trait that is not rewarded

Cons
Company has sold of Security and messaging Line of Business.
Advice to Senior Management

Salaries + Benefits would come up among the best in the industry. Some of the work done is state of art.
Cons
Old school technology company. Very limited growth opportunities. Organizational politics, power camps define most of the org changes as well as promotions, treatment in the co.
