Pros
Friendly work environment. Supportive management, Work itself is challenging and you learn something almost everyday. Working with brilliant colleagues, excellent growth opportunities and attractive pay packages
Cons
Nothing much in terms or down sides. The only thing I could think of, and this could be true for almost any big company, is that there is a lot of process involved for any minute task, unlike in a startup where things are more agile and dynamic
Advice to Senior Management
Only thing I could point is that VeriSign to my knowledge currently does not offer any free services to it's end customers / general public. I think this would be a good way to increase the company's visibility and credibility in public
Pros
- great benefits
- good work-life balance
- recognition for job well done
- salaries competitive
Cons
- very little career management
- very little training opportunities
- not enough innovation
- not enough drive to compete to win
Advice to Senior Management
- greater focus on employee development; less reliance on brand equity to remain competitive; greater push for innovation, investments in R&D and people;
Pros
- Niche domain to work on
- lots of opportunities to work on different product lines
- flexible work hours
- congenial environment
Cons
- unstable business
- in-transparency during merger and acquisitions
- new technologies yet to be explored
- lack of visibility
Advice to Senior Management

Pros
Offers better pay and benefit than comparable companies in the valley.
Cons
Too many emails, meetings, and re-visiting decisions rather than actual work
Advice to Senior Management
Need to take more active role in helping employees develop career plans for internal promotion and personal enrichment. Also, need to focus on promoting more effective teams to work smarter instead of harder.
Pros
We receive a very good salary, the office 'climate' is diverse and fun to be with. We are treated with respect and interest by out managers
Cons
I think that the career growth opportunities are very limited, not enough opportunities for professional development. Location is partially the influencing factor.

Pros
There are a decent number of internal opportunities if you know where to look and build a good internal network.
Cons
The company often underinvests in new opportunities and isn't agressive enough against competitors. Many people in the administrative roles are unimpressive and can be difficult to work with.
Advice to Senior Management
So long!
Pros
Verisign has a lot of great people, interesting projects to work on, and good salary and benefits.
Cons
Large org., it can be hard to feel like you've made a meaningful difference to the bottom line.
Advice to Senior Management
Your people are your largest asset, make sure you maintain an environment where they are challenged, with leaders of integrity and intelligence they can look up to.
Pros
VeriSign has really good benefits, more than I've seen with most companies I've worked for. Compensation and salary are all pretty good, too.
Cons
There have been a lot of management changes in the past and that has impacted the direction and focus of hte company.
Advice to Senior Management
Have more employee recognitions and help the employees understand better the direction of the company. This will really benefit employees.
Pros
fast moving organization with millions of online consumers. major revenue market maker with significant challenges in their sector. team spirit between key people.
Cons
work-life balance is completely ignored. key people are on-call 24hrs a day/seven days a week. exec team not sensitive as they should be.
Advice to Senior Management
staff to win. support your tech and operations staff to win. knock down the departmental fiefdoms and promote cooperation amongst division and department heads. your tech people are great, let them perform to the best of their ability.
Pros
Great benefit package. Everything else is a take it or leave it sort of situation. Can't say that I thought it was all that great.
Cons
You are nothing but a cog in a huge machine. Failure is rewarded, and there's no real reason to excel.
Advice to Senior Management
Please take innovation more seriously. Take stake in your employees and their ideas. Stop being so outright stuffy. Verisign is basically the "Office Space" in real life.
