I worked at Verisign full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I think that VeriSign treats it employees well, even when they divest them. They pay their employees well and for were only overly demanding only when condition warranted it. The atmosphere was casual but still business focused

    Cons

They have narrowed their focus over the last few years which I believe was good for short term profits. Since they are not as diverse there may be more long term risk

Current Employee - Project Manager in Reston, VA

I have been working at Verisign full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company definitely values employee satisfaction and takes considerable measures to solicit employee feedback and implement change. Phenomenal benefits, laid back culture. Work life balance is reasonable.

    Cons

Risk tolerance is near zero, making innovation difficult or slow at times. The company is smaller, so lateral movement and adjacent opportunities are difficult to find for an employee interested in career change. Culture is a bit more conservative than a typical tech company, though it is still quite laid back.
