    Pros

    Working as a Data Communication Technician exposed me to many different Systems within the industry and interacting with a wide genre of people.

    Cons

    Due to working with many different departments it can be daunting when there is a task to be done and no one can give you any positive answer.

    Advice to Management

    In regard to this nothing comes to mind at this time.

    You can get in to some situations with marginal leadership that loses the focus on employee satisfaction/culture

    The company is very innovative, looks at and creates new technology, and attempts to be competitive in the market by keeping customers engaged.

    Some areas of the company are still old school in the sense of listening and trying new ideas.

    Good Company to work for as a manager but keep in mind they are always RIF'g (Reduction In Force) which could affect managers.

    Hard to get into company.

    Pros

    Excellent pay and the benefits are great. Everyone at work gets along and the morale is okay as well. But it depends on the manager you get as well.

    Micro management and impossible to meet Done of the desired results. Favoritism is also in the workplace as well

    Pros

    Verizon has the usual pro's a giant company has, great benefits, very competitive pay for retail and pretty solid leadership training for those who want to work. It is a great first job.

    Cons

    Probably typical cons for big companies. The bigger the company gets the slower and harder it becomes to influence meaningful change when needed. In the retail channel the usual gripes and complaints about quotas, work hours and time off are common.

    Advice to Management

    Stand up for what you believe in. With a company this size the value of a leader is immeasurable when they are not a simple yes man. Trainings on time management for all employees and understanding the scope of the business would be exceedingly useful rather than devoting all training to sales process.

    Pros

    The pay, benefits and paid vacation were great. Building was in a beautiful location, overlooking the beach.

    Cons

    The customers could be very rude. Scheduled hours weren't that great. Manager's were very two faced.
