I worked at Verizon Wireless part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Flexibility with scheduling (Able to work around existing commitments such as school or childcare). Plenty of locations to choose from for added convenience. Opportunity for growth within company.

    Cons

Not ideal if you are not interested in retail sales, or are not tech-savvy. I left because I am trying to move away from retail sales. Company operates on retail hours: open around 8 or 9am and close by 8 or 9pm.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and decent money, paid holidays & time off, lots of room for advancement

    Cons

Not a ton of support & understanding. You were definitely a number in corporate world. Managers were instructed constantly on acting politically correct & caring but most were bad actors. You were moved to any location within 50 miles on a whim. Lot of unnecessary and time consuming "checking" and initiating.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

When ur employees are struggling or expected to do too much, fight for them...... Corporate management, listen to your managers..... Most of you have ur degrees in running companies but don't understand what it's like to work in a store

Takes care of you in your position but it is a typical, political corporate structure

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Opportunity to make good money with minimal qualifications
Great benefits with up to 6% 401k matching

    Cons

Disconnect between the faces of company and upper management
Everything is political but hey, that's Corporate America

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Research before making decisions and initiating major initiatives. People in the Retail Channel can save the company a lot of money with their feedback.
