    Pros

They are a good entry level position with great benefits. paid time off is excellent,

    Cons

work /life balance with rotating shift bids are not great for parents with young children.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

CONSIDER EARLIER SCHEDULES TO CREATE A MORE EVEN WORK/LIFE BALANCE EMPLOYEES HAVE TO SACRIFICE STARTING OVER AT THE BOTTOM WHEN THEY GET PROMOTED WITH SCHEDULES WHICH MAKES IT HARD TO RESPECT THE COMPANY'S VALUES IF THEY CAN'T RESPECT MY FAMILY VALUES

    Pros

Opportunity. Plenty of positions available. Should be able to find almost any kind of career there. Great hours, very flexible.

    Cons

Hard to move up. Looking for more opportunities for advancement. Things move too slow in promotion. Need to be noticed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Company takes care of you. It tries to make work enjoyable and people are always there for job support.

    Cons

Customers expect premium cell phone service but don't want to pay anything. Prepare for a lot of irate customers which can be stressful.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Force customers to do the basic things like plan changes and bill reviews online and through IVR to save from wasting the company's time and money.

Former Employee - Data Coordinator- Technical Support in Dublin, OH

    Pros

Yearly bonus, yearly pay increases, excellent benefits, promotes from within, ability to apply and relocate to different states, tuition reimbursement. I also learned a lot about the wireless network behind the scenes

    Cons

Possibility of working a late shift with crappy days off. A goal of mine was to attend school face to face.. But working in the call center environment doesn't really allow it because my schedule changed every six months

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management team was AWESOME!! Yes (like any place) a very few managers were not as great, but majority made my job much more enjoyable. I don't have any advice for management

    Pros

Great Benifits, 6% matching 401k good base salary and insurance.

    Cons

They measure everything you say and do. The company is only conserned about making more money. They are not conserned about any work/life balance and the stress is a killer. They say they have a great culture but they dont...just ridicue and pain. Best Advise...if your working there use the education benfits and get out. If your looking to work there.....Don't !!!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

They need to clean house and bring in new managment that has some people skills. Just because you have worked there for 10+ years does not mean your management material.

    Pros

Discount on Wireless service, some decent training, and access to new devices were the best things about working for VZW.

    Cons

Customer service culture promotes lying to the customer. Honesty and integrity were less important in review/performance metrics than perceived friendliness to the customer. Upselling equipment to irate customers, Really????

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change.
