Pros
compensation is very good for the job. recognition is also great as well and the company does allow for growth. all about promotion within.
Cons
can be a little repetitive at times. some co workers may not be as supportive, but overall positive environment and great company to work for
Pros
Great Healthcare plans and perks are good.
Cons
Call center management could be improved
Advice to Senior Management
Treat employees a little better.
Pros
Benefits are excellent, health and cell phone
Cons
starting salary, commission structure, scheduling
Advice to Senior Management
Do exactly what you say you will do.
Pros
Decent pay, benefits, 401k, etc. Large, rich company, and growing, so no layoffs expected now or in the future. Better than other retail jobs.
Cons
Being in wireless retail means aggressive sales, impossible quotas, and plenty of pressure from management to do more. On top of that is the endless list of policies that constantly change, not always for the better. And customers are quite often unhappy about visiting wireless phone stores. Feels like working at the DMV and Carmax at the same time.
Advice to Senior Management
no advice at this time
Pros
The pay is pretty good. The culture seems relaxed, although VZ is trying to strongarm their way in.
Cons
Doing nothing is alot better and more stable. Trying to get ahead and do your job will just cause you grief, roadblocks and no rewards.
Everyone seems to be in CYA mode, instead of working as a team to get the job done. Blaming others for their mistakes is often a better approach than admitting mistakes and working to resolve them
Advice to Senior Management
Dont fire people based on their attempts to do the right thing.
Pros
I feel the pay is above average for area, and benefits are great.
Cons
Lack of support and communication from HR. Hard to get days off in emergency situations. Trainings are not always provided in a timely fashion. A lot of us feel like we are in dead end jobs and will be stuck on the phones the rest of our careers if we stay here.
Advice to Senior Management
Show stronger concern for Front Line employees. We are the eyes and ears of the company. We are the resources our customers depend on....
Pros
Great benefits and a stable workforce with rare job reductions.
Cons
It is very similar to government work where no will take a chance and management is scared to take chances because they are worried about protecting their own position. The company talks alot about 'pay for performance' but that is not appear to be true in the part of the organization I work in. You know you will get your 3 - 4% raise no matter what you do. As an example, we had an employee who would reguarily sleep at their desk and meetings. However, he stuck around for close to 9 years and got the same raise and bonus as did everyone else except for maybe a 1/2% less on annual merit. I know this for a fact because he reported to me for close to 2 years and both my management and HR made it impossible to fire him, eventually left on his own.
Advice to Senior Management
Toughen and be willing to give direct and honest feedback to employees. Stop being worried about being liked and make decisions.
