    Pros

The benefits are great! You have a lot of opportunity to learn what is new that is coming out with technology.

    Cons

Depending on where you want to advance to, it may be difficult to move up. A suggestion always try to move up into management and then you will be able to move from there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be great if consideration were placed on the "specialties" that employees developed.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Verizon Wireless constantly encourages employees to be the best that they can be. They have an excellent training program and all employees are kept informed about new products and services.

    Cons

Verizon Wireless has become too large. Sometimes this causes employees and management to be on different pages. There are way too many layers of management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower the employees more. It is very frustrating to have to go to management for approval of something that is a "no brainer".

    Pros

Pay is great, benefits and discounts are awesome also unlimited OT for those who want to make even more.

    Cons

You basically live at the store, between meetings and closing the store you typically work 48-55 hours a week.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Great training program, good structure and hierarchy. Possibilities for advancement. Job security.

    Cons

The computers provided to do your work were so slow and antiquated it was almost impossible to do your job. It would take 8 mins to sell someone a phone charger, then you would get hounded for transactions/hour. The real problem was the pay, it's commission with a sliding quota. If you ever had a chance to do well, they'd just move the quota up, and your pay down. I outsold everyone in the store, and almost lost my house.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your employees commensurate with what you expect them to produce.
