    Pros

-Fast paced technology evolutions and roll-outs
-Meaningful purpose behind the work (connecting people, work efficiency, public safety)
-Advancement opportunities, especially if willing to move for positions
-Superior benefit and total compensation programs

    Cons

-Sometimes difficult to understand or see alignment from planning phase through to execution

    Advice to Management

Continue to push the innovation message and find compelling products and services that will drive revenue growth and satisfy everyone's aspirations to be considered a technology growth company and not just a transport network. Continue support of STEM education (e.g., NAF). Ensure the Credo is modeled at every level and every position in the enterprise.

    Pros

Great Place to start out at and there is a ton of opportunity working for this company. I gained a lot of knowledge about the wireless and technology industry. I was able to work with a lot of great companies; ranging from established tech companies to fast-growing start ups. Competitive environment.

    Cons

There are a lot of politics involved in the office. I you are not into a compedative environment then this is not a job for you.

    Pros

Great benefits, some great people, interesting work with a constantly evolving wireless network.

    Cons

Management has changed compensation so that only directors and above get long term incentives. It's difficult to attract and retain good quality people, especially in the Silicon Valley. Also, salary ranges are kept secret....what's up with that?

    Advice to Management

Restore the long term incentives to all salaried employees. Give employees more information on compensation ranges, how raises are determined and how bonus are determined.

    Pros

I found the work environment at Verizon Wireless to be very collaborative and not as stressful. Most of the fellow employees were great to work with and knew what they were doing. I was on a contract there but never felt like I was being prevent to do what I need to do in my role due to my being a contractor. Because of this great environment I was able to do great work there.

    Cons

Some employees were rude and arrogant due to their position and group. This is not unusual and seen almost everywhere.
Lot of times multiple teams trying to do overlapping functionality/solutions and don't talk with each other creating a lot of confusion and wasted work efforts.

    Pros

They have amazing benefits, an easy plan to advance and great company environment. The training they provide is invaluable and something you definitely carry on to other jobs. I felt it was a great place to advance my skills and grow as an individual.

    Cons

There is a lot of inside corruptness among management as with all large businesses. Sometimes there is so much training required that you are unable to complete the work required of you.
