Product planning is chaotic in some cases
Very crowded and sometimes noisy office

Advice to Senior Management – Please execute the annual review on time and take it seriously.
We need training: about the product, about required skill sets.

Pros – Very good collaborative colleagues. Good opportunities to learn technologies, especially low level firmware and device drivers.

Cons – Bad management. Very less stuff meeting. You don't know what you are fighting for. No vision for EE. No good process.

Advice to Senior Management – Find a buyer to sell this company is the best fate.

Cons – Need over time from time to time
Pay is lower than normal

Pros – It is really not bad for new immigrant. Because it is very hard to get first professional experience in Canada.

Cons – But the payment is quite low comparing to other company. And because lots of OT there, you have no time to accompany your faimily.

Pros – Lots and lots of work, there is no way not to learn. My manager is easy going, always cheerful, easy to communicate to. They provide jobs to immigrants unlike most canadian companies. The founder is immigrant and is very intelligent person.

Cons – Since mostly immigrants works here, my project leader who is white always feels the need to assert himself. He often raises his voice which is very unpleasant. I feel he takes credit for the work that I performed because of my limited English skills. I don't know how to solve this problem otherwise all ok

Advice to Senior Management – Keep up the good work in launching new products. Increase the compensation to match with the industry standard. Talk one to one with the team members and do not get fooled when immigrants can not speak up.
