Pros
So many opportunities for growth within the company! If you're interested in making VS your career they will work with you to help you reach your goal!
Cons
Lots of time you need to dedicate. It's extremely competitive, which may not necessarily be a bad thing for the company as a whole!
Advice to Senior Management
The most advice or feedback is to acknowledge when the store is making its goals and succeeding. Give more praise.
Pros
Paid time off, growth opportunity within the field
Cons
long hours, no work life balance
Pros
Learned a great deal of knowledge that will not only help in any retail position, but also in real life situations.
Cons
Initially hours include four hour shifts. Not good for a workaholic!
Advice to Senior Management
I want more opportunities to move up!
Pros
Very attractive place to work at, filled with a lot of pretty products. My manager and supervisors were usually nice and understandable. Had a lot of hours. Not too stressful.
Cons
Some coworkers were lazy and didn't do their share, the other department supervisors/managers are bossy and expect you to drop what you're doing and help them. The amount you get paid is pretty pathetic, and you rarely get a raise, and if you do it's barely even worth raising.
Advice to Senior Management
Make sure everyone is working, don't favoritize.
Pros
Great people to work with and amazing products but management is unstable and there is no room for growth within the company
Cons
Promotions are unfair and there is no room to move up in the company unless you have been with them for years
Pros
Awesome perks! Discounted bras, free gratis', if you worked in a recognized store, you were treated better. Very easy to ask for time off or days off, even when already scheduled and managers were concerned about their employees safety, and personal life.
Cons
Favoritsm. For some reason guys get favored more than girls do. It's difficult to move up in the company, they will promote some people for a couple weeks, then demote them again. They would hire too many people so when seasonal people were hired, the associates who have been there don't get many hours. Managment and coworkers are very quick to lecture you on mistakes or poor performance but rarely acknowledge outstanding performance.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop favoring people.
Pros
Good discount and good benifits
Cons
If you haven't been there long, don't expect to get respect from managers
Advice to Senior Management
Just because a person can't speak Spanish, doesn't mean they don't know how to do their job.
Pros
-Gratis ( usually at least twice a year you get a free bra and every once in awhile free cosmetics or fragrance)
-Bra buy ins (you get "featured" bras at a buy in of $10 or $15)
-Employee Discount at all Limited Brands stores
-Gain knowledge in Cosmetics/Fragrance and Lingerie/Bras
-Some opportunities for growth (Associates Interested in Management Program)
Cons
-TERRIBLE PAY! You are expected to exceed sales goals and have a vast knowledge ( I do!) of every product offered but don't get compensated for your hard work. You are supposed to "Build Customers For Life" and offer the best customer service. I think this is great! I put so much of my heart into this job but simply can't pay my bills (I'm a college student). I always exceed sales goals and get people to sign up for credit cards but see no reward except for a late water bill or no food for a week.
-Call-Ins. You are expected to call in two hours before your "call-in' to see if they need you. It becomes impossible to make any plans ever!
Advice to Senior Management
I know there is not much they can do about wages... but if they could... pay us more!!!!!
Pros
Strong Brand to work for.
Cons
no benefits for regular associates other than discounts on the merchandise.
Pros
great discount, flexible scheduling, above minimum wage pay
Cons
closing hours can be longer than expected
Advice to Senior Management
train new employees on standards. i was never trained. i learned on my own, it wasn't fair.
