I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

The management was great, and there was always room for growth. Also, I could never imagine myself in retail, but VS i think is the ideal place for a sales associate that's not crazy about clothes. I learned so much about bra's and I really do enjoy the company and atmosphere, and everything they stood for.

    Cons

Retail is retail. Customer's can be annoying. The pay isn't great, but they're going through the process of changing that now. A big downside is that most employees are part time, and there are no benefits, and they'll do everything they can to make sure you don't have enough hours to qualify as full-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing! I love the company and the mission. VS is continually progressing and increasing it's market share.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Awesome way to make friends if new in the area. Very feminine, glamorous atmosphere. You genuinely feel good about helping other women look and feel beautiful.

    Cons

Like any retail job, long hours on your feet and some disgruntled/thankless customers. They also do a sales incentive for associates, so it can be a little competitive on the floor. This takes away from camaraderie within the staff and team building suffers, but if you are cutthroat enough you can make big money on it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a way for the sales incentive to more accurately represent an associates stats. (It's currently based on how many customers remember to mention your name at the register) Then associates could stop cat fighting over customers. Less drama in an industry full of women is always a plus...
