    Pros

Insider on sales, fun music in the store, lunch breaks are ok,

    Cons

Lack of concern for employees, they have there favorites, pay grade doesn't match with experience.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please restructure your management team, stop with the cattiness, bring in new people who will love to work. Pay for those with adequate skills

    Pros

Discount...but you're better off waiting till the semi-annual sale

    Cons

    Horrible, disorganized management
Ridiculously low pay for the amount of work you do
    No proper training
    Associates will steal your sales
Working till 2AM to clean and not being paid O/T (which is illegal, btw)
    Extremely short lunch breaks

    ABSOLUTELY no work/life balance!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    You suck!

Give your regular associates benefits and pay them better!

    Pros

    Big discounts on cute stuff

    Cons

This job was the worst. They hired so many girls but barely gave us hours. I was hard working and have a lot of retail experience but there was weeks where I would get a shift a week. When I finally complained they told me thats how retail is. Um not to the extent but ok.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't hire a million girls and not be able to give everyone hours

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Good floor communication bc of the technology used, upbeat work area.

    Cons

shallow work environment, hours based on appearance, main focus on selling credit cards; stores are dimly lit and time passes slowly in them, always crowded and constantly folding panties.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on the employee experience in order to create a stronger customer connection. Instead of only pursuing the quick deal, create customers with loyalty by building relationships and training employees well.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

Gratis is amazing, although now I have too many bras.
The discount is convenient for some items that aren't ridiculously priced.

    Cons

The management staff is absolutely sickening. I was told I had "failed" my position there for not making enough sales & even worse, that I was there for the sole reason of making sales. That's it.
The catty, immature & impish nature of supervisors is disgusting. How old are we??? I was bullied into feeling like I wasn't doing anything correctly & went from making highest sales to getting a warning within a few months because of this.
They expect you to greet every customer who walks through the door & yet your own boss doesn't even say hi to you. Or two words at all. Makes sense.
Expect to be able to perform impossible tasks you wouldn't even be able to do if you were an octopus.
Although I love VS they act as if they're the golden empire of the world & if I personally don't stay on top of my game as a salesperson that the industry will quickly crumble, which I'm sure is "eau so" likely.
If you want to buy the overpriced vegas strip-club tops with cheap fur lining & tacky sequins your discount is hardly helpful, but I don't know who'd wanna buy that garbage anyway.
Commission would be nice if the cashiers actually remembered to put your name through for credit. I loved that aspect.

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

The pros of working for this company was the gratis which was once a month when the new lines came out, the employees would have the chance to purchase this with a large amount of discount or get it free, also the wage was better than my last job.

    Cons

The cons of working here was the atmosphere of the store, the training lasted 4 days and they were angry if you missed a day which was sitting in the breakroom for 6 hours. As the store monitor how much each employee sells they are constantly on your back to communicate with the customers, if you didn't do as well as they would like you to then they would threaten your position at the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management were very patronising and rude, if they didn't like you as a person then your experience in the company would not be very enjoyable to say the least.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores (less than an year)

    Pros

Good discount, good coworkers, nice looking environment, nice break room, good starter job, the customers can be lovely, freebies and gratis.

    Cons

High-pressure environment, lots of micromanaging, poor organization resulting in bad scheduling and underpayment, totally random salaries, sexual harassment/abuse from customers, lack of empathy from management. Little room for advancement. Work-life balance is bad as associates are often scheduled to close until 12am then forced to stay until 12:45 am even when they have to open the store the next morning. High employee turnover rate means that 80% of the associates are new hires who haven't been adequately trained and thus make things a lot harder for well established associates. Some associates have been wrongfully-terminated. There is lots of competition and backstabbing between associates as they are all pressured to sell over 350 per hour.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empathize with your associates, treat them as people and work to provide a safe work environment.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

Gratis every month, discount (30%), coworkers can be cool

    Cons

Management has bad attitude, don't give enough hours (15 if you're lucky), no one is full time unless you're a Lead team member, don't pay enough for work they make you do, can't share discounts with family, call in shifts (not convenient)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Definitely need to amp up your attitude and the way they speak to associates. They need to be more aware of the time they're giving associates to finish tasks, need to train better, but mostly IMPROVE ATTITUDE
