I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

The management was great, and there was always room for growth. Also, I could never imagine myself in retail, but VS i think is the ideal place for a sales associate that's not crazy about clothes. I learned so much about bra's and I really do enjoy the company and atmosphere, and everything they stood for.

    Cons

Retail is retail. Customer's can be annoying. The pay isn't great, but they're going through the process of changing that now. A big downside is that most employees are part time, and there are no benefits, and they'll do everything they can to make sure you don't have enough hours to qualify as full-time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep doing what you're doing! I love the company and the mission. VS is continually progressing and increasing it's market share.

Horrible hiring, manger would hire people with no retail experince and students who could only work summer.
only move up in the company if your the mangers favorite
    comission is impossible to meet.
mangers dont appericate you and the work that you put in

Management structure sometimes could be a challenge but leads to team building to truly make a functioning team.

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Very flexible, nice gratis items such as free bras and perfumes, very nice people I worked with

    Cons

When i worked there the pay was minimum wage but required you to do a lot of work for that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have heard management finally listened and has add commission, so that's good

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

DISCOUNTS! Although its not much its something. We would also get free stuff and to wear sweats to work on the PINK side of the store. Really nice store manager

    Cons

    Overworked and underpaid
Annoying sales goals every 2 hours.
Sometimes overly aggressive with pushing items on customers

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider making bigger sizes available in stores to customers. Its really hard to tell a lot of them that we can't help them because of the limited selection. Also consider a realistic organization approach when it comes to delicate merchandise.

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

30% discount, cute products, nationally recognizable name, good opportunity for growth, thought out on boarding process

    Cons

introduced the SPAH program, forcing products down customers throats and maintaining a good working relationship with others employees made impossible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop credit program, worked the cash register for 8 hours at a time, close on thanksgiving

    Cons

NOBODY wants to fold panties in the middle of the night! NOBODY. Goals were set unreasonably high

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores

    Pros

Coworkers are nice as well as management. They give you the ability to block off certain days or hours you do not want to work.

    Cons

The pay is low and there isn't much room for advancement unless a manager leaves while you are working. Shifts are normally 8 hrs and you are constantly standing on your feet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Perform employee reviews. Many of the coworkers were subpar in my view. Some would avoid customers, answer personal calls, and not clock out for break then be gone way over the allotted time.
